What is Domain Authority (DA)?

Domain Authority is a 1–100 score created by Moz that predicts how likely a website is to rank in search results compared with other websites. It is based mainly on the number and quality of linking root domains. Like Ahrefs DR, the scale is logarithmic: moving from DA 20 to DA 30 is much easier than moving from DA 70 to DA 80.

DA vs DR

DA (Moz) and DR (Ahrefs) both describe website authority, but they come from different link databases and formulas, so the numbers never match. Most link sellers quote Ahrefs DR, which you can check in bulk right now with our Bulk DR Checker. Read DR vs DA for a full comparison.

What is a good DA?

It depends on your niche. In most niches DA 20–30 is decent for a small site, 40+ is strong and 60+ is excellent. Always compare against websites in the same niche, and combine DA with organic traffic and relevance before you buy a link.
